yeah .. i just went back and read up on it again myself .. it is two separate proposals .. Alison Gary's proposal is the Sunday alcohol sales proposal and Addison's is the extended hours permit for bars ..
yeah, normally, i follow the happenings of the council and parish affairs very closely .. haven't had a chance to lately thanks to the real estate slump here somewhat loosening its grip .. i'm kind of getting myself acquainted with these proposals on the fly here .. like i said earlier, the 4AM thing means nothing to me .. i'm an old fart that doesn't stay out past 10PM unless i am at an LSU game .. that's a young man's game there ... but the sunday issue does excite me because i would like the option to hit up some of my favorite dives to watch ballgames on sundays ...

these permits would be annual, i would assume .. not a one time thing ..
The 4am thing will kill this IMO.
quote:I hope it passes because it would be nice to move towards the 21st century but its baton rouge so i doubt it does.
yet another avenue of sales tax revenue generation for the parish .. something to add to the quality of life in a city that most will tell you is boring for a city its size .. an opportunity for the parish to take a step in the direction of progressiveness .. we'll see just how much our council understands that tonight ..
ponti is running for public service commissioner .. a position even more worthless than city planner .. like i really give a frick about the political affiliation of the guy that is going to be kissing entergy's asses for the next four years ..
