Do tacit accusations count? You know, like when the lady watching the door at Wal Mart asks to see your receipt?

Exwife accused me of stabbing my (then) 9 year old in the shin

Brought the kid to APSO and filed a report at 9pm on a Sunday.

At 3am I get a knock on the door from 2 APSO detectives "investigating" the report. Imagine the shock and anxiety that moment would create for you. Two detectives waking you up in the middle of the night.

After some questioning, they show me pictures of what is OBVIOUS to everyone including the detectives a mosquito bite. The mark was similiar in size to what a needle does to your skin. Per their protocol they had to question me immediately after the report is filed.

The next day they bring my kids into the station for a round of interviews and later bring my exwife in and threaten her with filing a false police report.

What my exwife thought would result in me getting into trouble and losing the kids actually turned into her almost going to jail and a DCFS case being opened against her.

There had been a string of burglaries in our subdivsion when I was about 15 years old. One lady in the neighboorhood insisted it was me and claimed she saw me in the act. So when the police showed up to my house to question/arrest me, my parents told them where I was during the robberies - in London, England, and had been there for several weeks.

In elementary school, a kid tried to take my lunch pale. In the ensuing struggle, he tripped on the ground and started crying. His friends told a teacher that I pushed him to the ground for no reason and I got detention.

Wife accused me of snoring.

I stayed up all night one time and didn't catch myself snoring once.

Four things stand out:

When I was a kid of about 10, my sister had her bf over and made sandwiches for the two of them. As her bf was eating his sandwich, he noticed a booger on the edge of the bread. My sister was horrified and blamed me to our parents. I didn't do it and wasn't even around them or the sandwiches but she claimed that I must have done it. I professed my innocence but was beaten by our father and forced to stay inside my room for two days plus formally apologize.

A girl cut through a parking lot and hit my car. Acted all nice and apologized then when cops showed up did a 180 and blamed me, claiming that I cut into her. I was faulted, had to pay to fix my car and hers. Saw her once more on campus afterwards and she laughed and said "sorry I had to screw you."

While clerking for DA, I would park in a free lot that had 4 hour limit. I would go to lunch then return so I was never there for four hours straight. One day I returned after lunch and just happened to park in the same exact spot from morning because it was the only one available. Ticket at end of day, with reported quotes of me being parked at specific time in morning and specific time in afternoon. Took a lunch receipt and a witness (fellow clerk) and had ticket thrown out.

Just a couple years ago I was stopped at long red light in Kennesaw, GA. Picked up my phone and read my messages. Soon as I did a siren blasted from over my left shoulder from blind spot. It was a biker cop. I told him that I wasn't texting and we were sitting at a red light. He was a total a-hole. Got records from phone company showing that no messages were sent around time of ticket and went to court. One room in this old courthouse with about 300 people sitting. They said show up at 9 am, so I did. Cop screeners refused to allow phones or computers inside. They began to call names in alphabetical order; my last name starts with R. I wait for a couple hours and they are on B. You just sit and stare at wall, no windows. They won't let you leave and return, if you go outside you aren't allowed back in. Restrooms are inside this court room. Finally I get up and ask a bailiff how long this takes. He tells me that they are usually there until 10 pm when they finish. I go to the cashier in the corner, pay the $200 ticket, and leave.

Sexual harassment.

Did not want person coming by my desk wearing parfum.

She dressed like the opera for programming gig.

Negotiated that she would take hallway to get destination and I would no engage her in conversation.

It started because I warned her that her contract was going to end and she should intetview. Cried. Blamed messenger. Two months later she was cut. Even when I had talked to her i could not be in her cubical due to perfume.

There aren't many things that set me off more than being the target of a false accusation, no matter how minor it may be.

I got a ticket for not wearing my seatbelt when I was 16 even though I was and didn't take it off until I was pulled over and parked, the worst part the cop said the reason he pulled me over was for not wearing it. Drives me insane to this day.

In high school every time my mom came home she would accuse me of having just smoked pot. It was true maybe two or three times but every single fricking day she would accuse me of this. Finally, I got my cousin to piss in a cup and told my mom to bring home a drug test. Dude had been prescribed pain pills for hurting his back and didn't think to tell me because they were "prescribed." So I fail the test for opiates and get grounded for a while

I get the feeling that receipts and debit/credit card purchases will get me out of a sticky situation one day.

EDIT: Come to think of it, my building owner believed I was a full month behind on my rent. He insisted I bring him receipts for the past 3 months (from the time of this occurrence). Of course I keep money order receipts AND keep them in order by month/year. I also scan and send them to my phone. I sent him 5 months worth. Haven't heard from his arse since...

Going through a custody battle. My son's mothers reasoning for me not getting 50/50 is absolutely insane. I'm ready to be in court and prove all of her "claims" wrong. Just a shame that as a proud parent of a son that loves me dearly..... I have to pay to get in court and get 50/50 custody. I know i'll be happy and he'll be just as happy!

I'll never understand why mothers try to keep kids away from their fathers even though the kids love being with their dad.
