It was basically make a pile and we will give you a price. I went back to see if I could find anymore Berkeley propaganda, but it was all gone. The guy had a helluva shoe collection. I grab a few more pairs, a set of golf clubs, a Pope blessing that I passed on yesterday, a couple pair of sunglasses, and a couple toys.

Link to what I bought yesterday

My total was $75 for everything.

Here’s what I bought:

beryllium copper PGA T-Line clubs 3-10 iron

2 Fisher Price magic show sets

Pope John XXIII blessing (I first thought it was signed by him, it just has the Papal seal

Sunglasses (does anyone recognize the second pair?)

Six pair of high end leather dress shoes (besides the Brooks)

A pair of Prada loafers

The clubs sell for $100, the Pradas for $80 (I would have thought a lot higher), the other pairs $30-$50 a pair, the magic show toys $30-$40 for both, and the black pair sunglasses $50-$100.

Not sure on the Pope piece or the other pair of sunglasses

Without really knowing much about all of these items, I have to think those clubs can, at the least, get your $75 back right?

He buys things he can likely sell at a profit. He isn't just buying shite to store it somewhere.

You’ve never heard of the Vatican Open sponsored by Prada? The Pope plays from the golds.

Gotcha.. my apologies, i stand corrected .. i was gonna say, i couldnt understand why anyone would be bragging about acquiring more shite .. to me, the key to life is to purge, and to get rid of as much stuff as you can .

I’m not Catholic, plus it would have ended up in the trash most likely, I saved it.

Some of the used Prada shoes I saw sell for $100’s. They were probably $1000+ new. I’m guessing mine were probably $300-$400 new.

It’s what they all say. Until it stops moving.

The insults unoriginal, but a rather thin line from being accurate

I don’t buy storage units or massive amounts of stuff for pennies, hoping to make $10 on each.

I buy unique and strange items, or stuff I know that will sell for big money. I’ve been doing it for 20+ years, and the stuff I sell has never “stopped moving”.

In the last 90 days, I’ve had 86 items on eBay, 54 of which have sold for nearly $3400.

What do you think your total profits from this have been over the years?

Is it feasible for someone to do this full time?

Total profit? I’m not sure. I would guess about $5000-$10,000 a year (except for the two Covid years, I probably made $20,000 each of those years).

As for doing it full time, I know people do it, but it’s a lot of work, not worth the trouble to me. You would have to rely on buying the small items for pennies, and sell for $5-$10, while waiting for the big hits.

I plan to do it when I retire in a few years, but still do it the way I do it, just the big items.
