Any feedback from the OT ballers? I've never flown the a380 so considering Emirates for that reason but Singapore is rated higher online.

Can't go wrong with either. Singapore is a star alliance partner so at least you get points.

Both airlines are top notch. The only airline that MIGHT be a little better is Etihad, but at that level, it's all a wash...more like personal preference.

Out of curiosity, because I've never flown any of these... what makes them better, if they are better, than any of the four major american airlines?

You should ask this question on the Money Board in the Credit Cards Rewards and Points Discussion Thread. Those are the people that have experience with these types of flights.

Honestly, everything. Service, seat quality, etc.

I flew Asiana business to South Korea, and United business from Shanghai to Chicago about a month ago.

I can only answer this question by staying "everything." Everything is different from service, to comfort, to the food being restaurant quality and not freeze dried dogshit, etc.

Because he wants to get where he's going and not take impromptu swimming trips?

If you are flying from SFO it seems like Singapore would give you a more direct routing and I'd imagine the service difference would be almost negligible. Not to mention, Singapore rates very highly. So higher rating and best route seems to make this easy right?

To be fair, the second one over Ukraine wasn't their fault.

High end liquor and food. Seats that become real beds. Some even have mini suites.

American

Singapore

Emirates

There's a little difference.

considering Emirates
Emirates (EK) flight crews work sleep-deprived schedules that would be illegal at any US or European carrier.

Their crews have complained on professional pilots' forums about it for years. Stay away from Middle Eastern carriers if you value safety.
