Pretty damn sad that it took to the bottom of the first page and for a female poster to have to do it.

Don't know. If I fly international I'm certainly not flying coach.

Seats are only a little better. Still free booze...not top shelf but name brands. Food is still fresh with plenty of snacks. Flight attendants still friendly. Better inflight entertainment.

Still wouldn't recommend it for a 15 hr flight. Business class is way better.

Usually better-looking too. Those flag carriers usually don't have any restrictions against hiring the best-looking cabin crew they can.

I'll confirm that the stewardesses on Singapore are top notch.

What you have pictured is the first class suites on Singapore and Emeriates. Business class still very nice, just not as private and spacious.

Well business class on the A380 is close to what I pictured on Singapore. Here's business class on British Air. It's a lot nicer than United First Class.

If you have status with a domestic carrier, whichever one is part of the same alliance should factor heavily into your decision. Since mine is with AA, I usually fly Qatar to Asia since they're a One World Alliance airline. The lounge in Qatar is fricking amazing.

Emirates is solid, but Singapore is great...honorable mention to Korean air and British airways

This is why I picked Emirates. Because they fly the a380 out of sfo. The cool looking bar in business class was the clincher.

Singapore Airlines FTW

I was told by a SA Flight Attendant that the differing patterns (see below) denote ranks or different duties.

I was not particularly interested in that factoid at the moment, and I haven't corroborated it since.

A SA spec'd A380 is not a bad craft to travel aboard.
