I get, and believe in, the separation of church and state. But the holiest day of the year for 80% of the population evidently doesn't warrant an accommodation by the state. My kids had to rush through lunch to they could drive back to college. On Easter Sunday. My daughter had to drive to Baton Rouge, and my son to Tuscaloosa (5 hours) because evidently having the Monday after Easter off is too much to ask.

I hate the modern world.

Most religious holidays are made secular because of the political correct world and the war on Christianity we are living in today. It's sad really.

Retarded post. Easter is about what is what you believe and is in your heart. Screw anyone else

You believe in the separation of church and state except when it inconveniences you?

Tuscaloosa? Obviously you have no right to opine on anything after failing at parenting.

You let your son go to Hell and then you complain about godlessness?

Your kids should quit school and get a job at my child's daycare. The daycare is closed tomorrow

They were trying to get out of that lunch as soon as possible and blamed it on school.

slippy, you are gonna catch a lot of crap in this thread, but I agree with you. the real trouble with easter is that it is always on a sunday and if you happen to get a day off, it is typically on good Friday...you can't really enjoy the time with family because everyone is trying to get back home for work/school the next morning.
