it's bad dude. I actually think it's worse than Rodeo DR.

Rodeo is pretty dang bad. Probably not as bad as eastover though.

PS: does anyone else pronounce it "Ro-Day-O."

What's the benefit of putting them in prison?

I agree with you. It's not funny. It's ridiculous that there's such a big law enforcement and prison apparatus in place for "crimes" such as these.

That about runs through the white trash gamut. Horrible hair, wife beater shirts, no shirts, neck tats, skanks, meth.

Sentencing needs to be xtra severe for being arrested for meth in the LP.

+1 count of verification of stereotype

What's the benefit of not? This wasn't a bunch of pot or half a bottle of Vicodin. Meth heads will surprise you with what they'll do for a score. There's also a tremendous narc population within the culture and guns are always the solvent for that.

Prison plus rehabilitation is the way to go here. You cannot put these people on a 5 year probation sentence and give them methadone and state-supported counseling. Parole violations are costing us more in money than meth and heroin dealers. This bunch will just violate the terms and conditions if they recieved a slap on the wrist.

No it isn't. Legislating behavior is a huge net loss. Research Portugal and their policies.

Conversely, it could have been like the child in the video another ot'er just posted of the 8 y.o. beating the 5 y.o. while the adults watched. I want to believe all children are raised like I was raised and how I am raising my children, but it's extremely evident that is not the case.

Most of these "LP'ers" are not originally from the area.

Eastover, parts off of Florida Blvd, etc are getting worse by the day.

Just a bunch of shitty people that ruin it for everyone.

Or you could take a stance of personal freedom. If these people want to do drugs like Meth and Heroin all day in their house, LET THEM. Now if they do anything illegal while under the influence or commit a crime to get the drugs (steal, rob, etc) then punish them severely. But if they just work and do drugs all day at their home while not invading anyone's other personal freedoms then who cares.

The problem with this is it does not place a high enough to value on human life. It is akin to saying- I'm ok with you commiting a slow suicide while everyone else in your life is collateral damage. If you truly believe what you wrote, you are a sociopath.

So you are uniquely qualified to assign values to a humans life? That's damn pretentious.

So your socialist leanings also justify letting your virtue decide for other people what's best them? How noble.

No, he is not. Your way of thinking is along the same mental comportment as a Hitler. Though on a smaller scale. Thankfully.

More harm to humanity has always come from those thinking they know what's best for everyone.

Societies where people are freer to make their own decisions have the highest standard of living in the world.
