Drs and Lawyers, Health/Malpractice question re: my 3 month old's circumcision.

A few weeks ago, while I was changing him, I was doing my 2x/weekly thorough investigation making sure everything is honky-dory down south. I ended up finding a small hole right on the scar line from the circumcision. It is roughly the size of a pin, similar to how it may look if one were to stick him.
The hole looks completely healed, there is no redness in the area, no puffiness, no scabs, no scarring, and no other typical signs of infection. Plus, he seemed to have no reaction to it, didnt act as if he was having any discomfort from it. As everything appeared to be ok, aside from the hole obviously, I decided against rushing him to the doctor. As he already had an appt scheduled less than a week away.
Well, the day before the appt, as I was changing his diaper again, there was a white puss-like substance that was in the hole. Which I ended up having to squeeze out. However, there were still no signs of infection, and he still never reacted negatively towards it.
At the appt, the Dr said it doesn't need any medication, to just make sure and clean it thoroughly, and that it would eventually heal itself. He said the white puss like substance was simply smegma.
Based on the information given, here is my 2 part question:
A) OT Doctors, do you agree with his assessment? As the hole already appears to be healed, I am not sure it will close up over time. I'm hoping the Dr's verdict can either be confirmed or disputed by those with medical knowledge.
B) OT Lawyers, if the circumstances do not resolve themselves. Say for example, the situation turns into one where he has to have it sewn together, or a similar small procedure is required. Would we then have a grounds for a malpractice lawsuit against the doctor who did the procedure? At least for enough to cover the expenses incurred while rectifying the situation? Also, would there be grounds for a "mental trauma" based reciprocation, if we decided to pursue such a course of action? We are talking about a hole in his peen bean after all. If we end up waiting till he is 3-5 yrs of age before surgery is deemed necessary, he would probably remember it as an adult due to the nature of the problem.
I apologize for the awkward question. However, I know there are a several doctors and a fair amount of lawyers around here.
*His pediatrition is not the Dr who did the surgery.
**Let's not devolve this thread into a discussion on the morality of the circumcision practice. We decided it was for the best because my dad was also cicumcised.....when he was 52 years old! Based on his experience, he heavily recommended doing it now. It's apparently much more painful as an adult. Not necessarilly the procedure, but day to day life with a cut up penis.
Thanks gentlemen.
Oh and yes, I realize this thread is not going to go well. I would put the over/under at about 10 responses poking fun per every serious answer.
TLDR: Son has hole in peen bean where circumcision occurred. Doc say its perfectly fine, and the hole will heal itself. But this seems like a slightly strange verdict, imo. Do OT docs agree or disagree? OT lawyers, if he ends up being NOT fine, do we have grounds for a Malpractice lawsuit?

You would have to know the long term prognosis to know if there is a case. As long as the doctors are telling you everything is fine and that is documented, the statute of limitations is tolled (for the most part). As soon as a Dr documents that there might be a problem, the clock starts running on the SOL. Keep that in mind.

Get a second opinion from a different Dr.

If you don't agree with his assessment, seek out a second opinion.

Just because bad stuff happens does not mean the doctor did anything wrong. Bad stuff risk is built into every procedure.

Depends if the doctor breached the standard of care.

First child I'm sure.
I think you should just stop worrying and let nature take it's course. Like someone said, things happen in the normal course of healing and thinking normal healing is malpractice is going overboard a bit.
Lighten up Francis.
