Anybody had surgery with him? Wanted to see what peoples opinions are of his work. Need to get surgery on nose. Can't breathe

I guess I was confused, I didn't think you could comment on anyone's medical procedures but your own, especially in a public forum.

If a friend tells you they had a good surgery from a DR, that is public info now. HIPAA in it's simplest form keeps the DR from blabbing about his surgeries to people(cant name specific people, cant talk in general about them though)

HIPAA only applies to covered entities and other entities who have business associate agreements with covered entities.

If your friend had a procedure and you know about it and comment on it to someone else you aren't liable under HIPAA. Also, I doubt anyone in here would be using names or other unique identifiers when discussing their friend's surgery.

Exactly. Even the Dr can talk about a surgery he performed as long as he doesnt out the patient
