I wouldn't bother fixing it. Just gonna happen again in a week.

If I didn't plan to keep the house for rental property being so close to campus I wouldn't even be in the house trust me. I know what you mean.

I'm assuming you have a security co or net-feed to know w/out being there or did a neighbor phone you?

On Brightside? In an apartment? Call manager. If not, you can buy trim kit at lowes/Home Depot.

Yeah my alarm company notified me. What's funny is I was able to get home 20 min away at work before the cops showed up....after another 20 min of waiting

9:30 am. I get a call my alarm is going off. I tell her hold on let me see if my roommate is home and he triggered it somehow. Call roommate. He isn't home. Tell her okay send cops I'm on my way to meet them. Get home in 20 min. Side gate is open. Sit across street to see if anyone is still back there. Wait for cops for another 20. They show up. Alarm still going off. He clears the house. Walk in my backyard. Door is kicked in. Tried to come through the front first but wasn't successful. Nothing missing so he must've kicked it in...alarm went off...then fled. That's it. Filed a report and now need repair.

9:30 am is apparently prime time for burglars. Our home was broken into around that same time. When the police arrived, they asked if we wanted them to look for prints. My immediate reaction was "Yeah, Columbo. I'd kinda like to have this solved" Then I realized that this is just another day to them and we were just documenting for insurance purposes. No real hope in solving the thing.

To answer your question, I think if you call Pop-a-lock, they can send someone out to shore up the frame until you can get it repaired.

yea if it's not a life threatening situation and I assume you told them nobody was in harms way, they likely won't hurry much at all.

I'd pay them their money... Or you're gonna have to submit a name change request on HB for "Broken Legs Glen"
