I wouldn't be able to keep a straight face while saying that though, I would bust out laughing. He knows my thoughts on SAHMs.

Edit:She has about 2 years of college credit at LSU in 4 years with just below a 2.0 gpa. She also works full time now and is only in school part time.I've already bought the ring and plan to propose so this isn't a deal breaker for me

I'm not trying to be a dick, but I'd imagine the Vegas odds would be in favor of this not working out. And as someone said, I would totally wait until after you get some school in, because if I counted how many relationships went to shite in law school (including mine) I'd be counting pretty high. Plus, I found someone more intelligent and driven. Screw dragging someone through life.

And what's the deal with the 2.0? That screams work ethic issues. LSU, outside of engineering and real brainiac stuff was and is easy. 2.0 is just unacceptable unless she's in those.

People post "I know someone who didn't go and they are smart/vice versa" but let's not make exceptions a credible argument against some clear warning signs.

Would you marry someone with less education than you or without a college degree?

Yes and yes. Considering how easy it is to get a degree and the amount of idiots that have degrees, I dont put a ton of weight on a bachelors degree in a relationship.

I will be attending graduate school next year . I am currently in a serious relationship with a girl that I think might not ever graduate with a bachelor's degree.would this bother you?

Maybe, maybe not. If she had dropped out of school to go be a bartender, do a bunch of drugs, and have no direction in life, it would bother me. Not everyone needs to go to college though.

I personally would never do this while youre both in college.

Agreed. No need to rush that. It's a big transition time for some when they finish college and enter the real adult world.

Ya, both her and him are likely to run off with someone else. I'd avoid an engagement like the plague right now.

That guy was ridiculous. Made me think we were trying to convince some battered woman to leave her man but she keeps saying "but he really loves meeee!"

Word. OP hasnt even started grad school and who knows what the gf is going to be doing.

When youre asking the OT for basically approval of what youre doing, its time to put some things on hold.

Finish school, get a job, and then entertain a ring and whatever else you need to further your relationship
