My wife does most of the cooking. She generally gets home earlier and likes to eat by 6.

I've just been trying recipes off Pinterest

Luckily I haven't screwed up anything yet. I also downloaded this app called food on the table. It has a lot of recipes and will automatically pull up a shopping list for you on the app based on all the recipes you select for the week. Makes it easier for me to shop at the store.

We both work and we both cook. She cooks more often though.

My wife.

She cooks around 5 times a week. She works from home twice a week and the 3 days a week she goes to the office she usually gets home around 6 30. She's a damn good cook too.

We both work. We meet in the kitchen to talk about our day while I prep supper. I enjoy stirring a pot, so it's not work to me. Mrs. Btr is a teacher, so she usually helps with the kids homework until the meal is ready. After Supper, she cleans up the dishes, and it's my time to unwind and play with the kids.

Her mother never cooked. Wife learned all she knows from watching me. She is getting better and more adventurous. She is more than willing to take over the duties if I am running late, or had a rough day.

My wife works longer hours than I do usually and still does 95% of the cooking. She even does the dishes most nights.

I'm not bragging, I'm actually ashamed of it. If I were to do more of the cooking though, I'd probably cook the same stuff over and over, and I don't think she'd like that. But I really should insist on doing the dishes at least.

The less work she does at suppertime means more energy she'll have for bedtime.

SO is incapable of preparing anything that doesn't come out of a box or a can. I do 95% of the cooking and she cleans up.

She should try it. I'm never gonna be some awesome cook but I've been trying little bit by little bit. Casseroles and stuff like that seem to be pretty foolproof for a beginning cook.

Work from home a lot so I cook larger meals(that provide leftovers) for the days I'm in the office and have limited time to cook. Or we just eat out on the one day I go into the office

I do all the cooking. some days thats closer to premade items than others, but most of the time youll find me doing actual prep, even if i find some shortcuts along the way.

I like to cook, so I do most of it. She does most of the cleaning. I prefer it that way.

The majority of her problem is that she's an extremely finicky eater. She won't try anything new. She's afraid it might contain an item from her list of the foods she has deemed to be in-edible (long list). She trusts me not to include ingredients that would surely result in instant death.

Yes. My wife works and cooks every other night. We normally have leftovers the night she doesn't cook.

I don't know how you put up with this. Is dining out always a chore?

No doubt. I bet it's like trying to go to a fine dining restaurant with a 4 year old

We eat out once or twice a week. She's really careful about what she orders and pretty we'll sticks to basic items that don't contain the banned stuff. I once jokingly told her mother that this affliction was a result of poor parenting. My remark was not well received!
