I lived in Sicily and you know them when you see them, and don't ever drop the M bomb

By two Colombians who didn't even make it out of the country

But they claim it was the CIA.

Who is "they"?

Dude it's even the small town dons. Palermo and Catania have the movers and shakers but those little mountain towns in the east all have a local Don, usually some old guy in a cheap sweater reading a paper at a cafe. Then you go to the same cafe on a Thursday night and he's wearing an expensive suit and a patek phillipe watch and he has a gaggle of soldier types around him in expensive suits with a few clearly working "security"

Lentini, Ragusa places closer towards Siracusa are no different. The younger guys are blinded out 24/7

If you get out and explore, that's the best shore duty anyone could ever get. If this place goes completely in the shitter I may just move to aci treza or Taormina

Joseph Gagliano

I'm sure they do in some capacity. The sniper van case last year and this year brought it to the forefront that there may be LCN activity in New Orleans. They seem to be closely tied in with the New York families once Marcello passed away. Once the Gambinos and other families were hammered by the Commission Trial, the Gotti Debacle, etc, they seemed to go further into the shadows. I'm sure they still do exist, although their money making enterprises are probably more involved in the internet(porn, gambling, stock manipulation) rather than traditional street rackets which keeps them further out of the eyes of law enforcement.

One time we got lost out in the middle of nowhere off road and all of a sudden a fricking brand new, clean as a whistle Mercedes drives by and the guy is wearing an expensive suit and looks like he's going to a black tie event...and driving gloves

We asked for directions (I spoke enough caveman to get by and my friend was a savant who spoke fluently) and he pointed us in the right direction and told us to get the frick out of "here"

The ruskies are big at the port, the Italians may be around in some fashion but nothing big.
