One time I was soaking in the tub in my undergrad apartment, and a big chunk of popcorn ceiling inexplicably broke off and landed on my chest.

My big pet peeve is wall texture. I like a smooth wall with flat paint. No texture, no sheen.

I have a medium nice house. I have wallpaper in one bathroom and in the kitchen.

Do you need someone who is licensed and bonded to remove popcorn ceilings?

Anyone at my house on a ladder is gonna be licensed and insured.

I'm looking at hand painted silk for the foyer/hallway/transition to breakfast nook. It really looks nothing like wallpaper from my childhood and adds enough to the rooms that I don't need to decorate with much else. And I love the no sheen look and touch it brings.

OH, NO!!! I'd year the freaking wall down.

I've got way more projects to worry about at the moment That wallpaper is only on 1 wall in one of our guest bedrooms so it's not priority...yet.

it does make me cringe though every time I go in that room

You guys don't have Mexicans there? I think $10 an hour cash for 50 hours would cover it?

What I'm currently looking at to lead into the light blue & green breakfast area. But I'm very traditional. My husband would prefer a more modern geo style but it doesn't fit our home or furniture.

That doesn't look bad at all. We have some nice wallpaper like that in our foyer area that my wife wants to keep. Everything else though

Yeah. Get rid of that custom wall & curtain nightmare. That didn't look good the day it was installed.
