I don't think I have met anyone in real life who does....I did see Shirley mclaine one time at a restaurant but didn't want to disturb her cause it seemed she was busy with talking to people and eating.

All I know is that if reincarnation exists, I hope I come back as my dog. That dude has it made.

I bet these poeple do.

The story is very eerie. The kid inexplicably knew a lot of details about his "past life."

In order to believe in reincarnation, wouldn't one have to be neither religious or atheist?

Adults around here believe that Noah's arc is real, and that some dude came back form the dead. You should have no problem finding a few that think they will be reincarnated.

Of all the dumb things people believe in, reincarnation is at the top of the list.

I don't understand how one form of coming back from the dead is any crazier than the other.

Possible, but not probable. Perhaps neural networks are receptors for a non-physical (at least in our physical sense) signal. Perhaps they are the origin of consciousness. I have no idea what to think, and frankly, it's almost a waste of time to delve too deep in the unknowable.

I don't consider myself religious or atheist and sort of believe in reincarnation. Maybe a 20% chance of it, whether in human form (at some point in the future) or in another form that is not known by humans.

Basically, I believe there is more to life after our time on earth but have no idea if any religions are close to being correct in their beliefs.

Yes.

Since matter is neither created or destroyed, I prefer "Re-Embodiment" where you only come back as person.

Explains a lot of things. Like karma. Where the murderer get murdered.

Or gays. Guy who's all about the women is re-embodied as a woman who still loves the ladies = Lesbian.

The nazi death camp guard who comes back and dies in a flaming car crash.

Explains a lot of random shite.

But the interesting question is if you lived a good life and get to chose your next parents, why do you pick to be re-embodied as a cripple or a life of abject poverty?

What lessons did you think you needed to learn to move further along than wheel of life?

Idk

If you're Atheist, you don't believe you have a soul that lives on after death. Most religious people believe your soul ends up in heaven, hell, or purgatory. Where does reincarnation fit into either one of these.
