and all the real examples that aren't as dumb as a doodle that show otherwise are... What?

See Soph's examples, things of actual substance, not a doodle

Are really citing right wingnuts' non-existent "War on Christmas" as an example?

As for Easter, I searched other holidays, such as all the Jewish High Holidays, and found none. No Ramadan either. No birth of Muhammed or any other Muslim holidays.

Basically, Google has avoided showing favor towards ANY religious group.

If nothing else, that's good business, assuming that everyone out there is a reasonable person who doesn't feel entitled to have their faith put above another's.

No.

Wtf do you want them to do make Google into a damn headstone puzzle? Memorial day isn't a happy go luck holiday that's supposed to be celebrated. The small flag with a ribbon under the search is perfectly fine.

You can't compare Bing to Google in the background regard bc bing has wallpaper that constantly changes Google has never done anything like that.

Stop bitching about trivial shite and go find a gold star family and give them your condolences.

an example of people getting mad at them for their common act of ignoring christian holidays? yes

i don't care, as i'm not christian and post often about their oppression in the US today, but it is what it is.

it sounds like they figured it wasn't during the day today, with their 180 in real time

Google ignores ALL religious holidays.

As for a ribbon, they've had this:

and this:

For long before today.

So to summarize, Google has done what our government has neglected to do. They've stayed out of religion and have worked to help our vets when they get back home.

Yet some of you prefer to attack them.

According to some, more than I would have imagined, this is all meaningless without the doodle!!!

So is thread officially over or is the timing and/or size of the flag icon going to be our new thing?

Please keep me updated while I boycott Google and show my patriotism by turning in my Korean made Android and buying a Chinese made I-phone.

If you use Google Chrome, they have a small flag and yellow ribbon that shows up at the bottom of a new tab. Not sure what else you want from them.

The flag and ribbon appears on other web browsers as well when you go to Google. The execs at Google must have seen this thread.

Proud of all those that gave the ultimate sacrifice so that grown men could complain about trivial shite on the internet.
