Do you take off your hat when you sit at the dinner table?

I don't really wear hats anymore but I was raised to take mine off at the table. I was at a wedding last week and noticed a few people wearing hats at their table while they were eating. Yes it was a trashy wedding.

At a wedding? I'd tell them to take that sheet off.

Anyone here ever have Mugnier for surveying at LSU? At the beginning of the semester he always tells a story about how in the Army the only person allowed to wear a hat indoors is someone carrying a sidearm. The only other exception is women. "So unless you have a pistol on your hip or you're a lady, take your hats off, gentlemen."

The fact that you even have to ask this tells me you personally are trashy.

I've never even been to a wedding where someone wore a hat. I'd probably leave.

On a side note. Saw a lot of baws out for a "nice" dinner last night dressed up in their oilfield finest with a ball cap firmly lodged on their head the entire dinner.

If I am getting a sandwich then no I'd keep the hat on but I get really bad hat hair. Usually when I am wearing hat it is because I am greasy and don't feel like showering or I am playing golf

I wouldn't wear a hate anywhere respectable. I'd say something above the chimes is where I'd draw the line.

A hat at a wedding is just trashy as frick

The first thing I learned at boot camp from a DI - take that motherfricking cap off or I will shove it up your arse - that got my attention.

And when you go indoors at all, you take your hat off.
