Does anyone have an annually physical/wellness exam voluntarily?

I actually think my insurance pays for this once a year but I need to check. My wife things I need one and wants me to have blood work drawn: cholesterol, thyroid levels, etc. I think it is a waste of time since I feel ok and I know my blood pressure is good.

Yes and I'm only 28. You need some baseline numbers at some point so that you can tell if you gots the testicular cancer and such.

It's funny you bring this up. I was just thinking about scheduling an appointment yesterday. I haven't had a physical since my senior year in high school for sports, and I'm coming up on 30.

My suggestion is to get the full work up especially by a NP and not by someone who pretends to be an ophthalmologist on the OT rant

Well crap. I guess I am slacking. I have not had one since I did walk on tryouts in college (did not make the team). That was over 10 years ago.

I guess I will book one for next week. Going to be a little nervous now.

I go every 6 months. Pull basic blood work. Found my cholesterol was creeping up. Made a few changes, and I am good now. No meds. I started going after my 85 year old Greek neighbor told me that is what he has alway done.
