re: Do you drive a truck even if you have a white-collar profession?

Not sure about that. This doesn't even make sense.
White collar people have lots of toys and hobbies that require them to have a truck
Personally I have to have a truck, it's not an option. It doesn't make sense for me to drive a car.

I don't make that accusation a lot, but I personally know the guys and it definitely applies.
I don't think I'd want my wife to know my co-workers that well.

My dad told me an interesting stat a few years ago. According to something he read, the most common, privately owned, vehicle among American millionaires is a Ford F150 pick up.

I do, because you always need a truck for something even if it's not for work.

I'm not saying this applies to everyone but a couple of guys that work with my husband drive trucks and it is clearly because they have a complex regarding their dick size.
well, I have a pretty small penis and I must need a different truck, becsues the one I have has not helped at all...

I wouldn't drive a truck in New Orleans, because it would be a pain in the arse to drive down narrow streets and park on the street.

I know guys that have to have a truck because they'd feel like less of a man without one. They are morons. So I get the sentiment of the penis thing. Although I think it has more to do with personality shortcomings than penis size.
I drive an SUV, but would easily dive a truck. If I get another larger boat, I'll have a truck. If someone looks down upon me for that, more power to them. Sounds like they're the one's compensating for something with the image their vehicle represents.

I know these people, they are ridiculous. I don't really care what someone drives, but it's stupid when you're looked down upon because you don't drive a truck.

I then asked researchers at Experian Automotive, a unit of the well-known credit information service, to dig into their database of more than 600 million vehicles in the United States and Canada for insights.
Experian looked to see which brands were favored by people in three different income groups: $250,000 or above; $100,000 to $249,000, and less than $100,000. Not surprisingly, the richest people were the most likely to buy luxury brands (39 percent for people with household income above $250,000 vs. 8 percent for people who earn less than $100,000 a year).
But what that analysis also told me was that 61 percent of people who earn $250,000 or more aren’t buying luxury brands at all. They’re buying the same Toyotas, Hondas and Fords as the rest of us. So what cars are preferred by the rich?
Not sure about Millionaires, but the upper classes may own more expensive cars but most drive the same vehicles we all do. The perception this isn't true is perpetuated by folks who's idea of what the rich do is driven by reality TV, most likely.

The following question was asked in The Millionaire Next Door: What makes of cars are most popular with millionaires? Number one in market share (9.4%) was Ford. . . the most popular models include the F-150 pickup. . . about three in ten millionaire Ford drivers own F-150 pickups.
F-150 probably isn't driven by most millionaires but it's well represented.

I've got the f150 part down pat. Just need to work on the million dollar part.

I would think actual true ballers borrow money at less than inflation APRs and make that money work for them.

My first vehicle was a truck, my second was a vintage camaro. I've been a fast car guy ever since.
