Do you collect/pay on friendly wagers?

Let's say you make a wager w/ a friend re: a sporting event or something, and you win..do you care if you get paid or not? Do you always pay? For the sake of discussion, let's assume the amount owed is $150 or less...

So I have a friend that owes me $100 based on the outcome of a recent sporting event..the bet was made months ago..it wouldn't be douchey of me to bring it to his attention that he owes me $100?

I always pay unless it's some shitbag that owes me. Then, I just write if off his tab.

Turned down golf wagers because I never carry cash, and if I do it is for the cart girls tip.
Now if the winner of the bet says screw it that's another story. And I would still offer to buy lunch or a beer.

I'll never make a wager cause I don't really feel strongly enough about anything to bet, and I don't want to have to pay money for something stupid

You could just not say anything. Any future bet you make with him, if you win, tell him he owes you $100 still from this. If you lose, tell him you still never got the $100 from this bet and don't pay. Win-win

Always. But normally I bet alcohol. All it really means is the next time we get together, the loser is responsible for supplying the whiskey.

I always pay but don't always collect. Have one friend who talks out of his arse a lot but really can't afford to pay up. I have won at least 3 $100 bets against him...if I was him I would insist on paying.
