Or will it look like my wife got shot in the stomach with a shotgun for the rest of her life?

Insensitive much?

Buy Mederma. It should help a little bit.

Sure, 10K and a good plastic surgeon and she'll look great again.

My wife kept her belly lotioned up well and there's no stretch marks to be seen. It wouldn't be a big deal to me even if she would have some though...

Her friends got her some stuff called belly butter or something.

Not trying to be a dick. I love my wife, but it's kind of gross.

Gonna have to learn to love her for her now buddy.. They are there for the long haul.. (I've got 5 with 1 on the way)

Women are different, some don't even get stretch marks.. Others look like Freddy Kruger got a hold of 'em..

She should have rubbed Mederma on her belly during the pregnancy to minimize it. See if it helps now. If not, save up some money for a surgeon to correct the issue.

Got to stay lotioned up thruout pregnancy. 3x per day.

My wife was a little different. She has a small area with a radius of like 1-2 inches around her belly button that stayed a little different looking in terms of skin texture. Not really a big deal considering what that brought us and the fact that she worked hard to get back to pre baby weight. Actually adds a little character in my opinion to her appearance.

Unfortunately, it' s much much much more dependent on genetics than either amount of weight gained with the baby or frequency/type of moisturizer during pregnancy.

Mederma will help minimally.

Only two options are laser skin resurfacing (which will significantly help but completely erase stretch marks) and mini-abdominoplasty.

It varies with skin type, my wife doesn't have any after two kids. she's also had a little "help" to get rid of problem areas after kids

They won't go away even if she gets down to pre-baby weight
