I think the outdoor board had a few threads about misters... I don't think the overall reviews were too positive if I remember correctly. I think the cost was astronomical.

safe around pets?
I don't have any pets but it is supposed to be safe from what I read. I basically spary about 1 foot out from the slab and also spray about 1 ft up the wall. You create a barrier around the house. I spray any cracks, widows seals, door jams, and plumbing coming out of the exterior really good. It takes me about 30-40 minutes to do a 4500 sqft (total) house. Spray about every 6 weeks from March until November. I also spray it on fire ant beds and kills the shite out of them. Kick the pile and wait about 30 seconds and fog it to them.

Talstar.. Sometimes mix a double batch of it along with the Bayer product(ETA: suspend SC)I can't think of the name of at the moment. About to do this exact mix this week.
Usually just the Talstar alone applied heavily at first, maybe do one application followed by another in a few days after will knockdown most anything. Then you just have to maintain, maybe every 30 days or so.

I have always read Suspend is best for inside. anf talstar for out. so i use suspend inside and I mix both suspend and talstar for outside.

I used Suspend on the overhead of my boat slip. It's hell on the spiders that were crapping all over the boat.

Check what the local pest control places are using. I got in on a neighborhood discount last year and they come out to spray every 3 weeks. Had the first one a couple weeks ago. It is designed for mosquito control, but it does a good job with everything else as well. Especially the flea problem I had last year.

So the rats keep the bugs pretty well under control, huh?
I don't have any of those either. Maybe the poor people on the lower floors do, but I don't know b/c I don't associate with them.
