Doubtful

I haven't had it for 5 years, so maybe it is worse now. But it had all the channels Direct T.V. and Dish had, was cheaper, never went out(both satellite packages do all the time), and the on demand features were 5 years ago what satellite is now. Now maybe Comcast is better here in S. Florida, that I don't know.

What? I like UVerse and have had no problems

Same here....And the DVR has a much larger capacity than the one I had with Cox.

Dish is great. They have the hopper where you can watch prime time shows without commercials and it also allows you to transfer any DVR recording to an iPhone or iPad to watch offline. I hated directv.

They lost AMC a year or so ago and when I went to watch TWD I was pissed...called and they bent over backwards to keep me...offered buying me the entire season and gave me a $10 a month credit for a year. a week later they reached an agreement with AMC

What the hell is TWD? Why don't people just fricking type out shite anymore? Half the people here quit reading your post right there because they don't know what TWD is.

As I said earlier Direct goes out if a leaf blows by the dish.

no it doesnt. thats just not true. you might have an issue with your dish alignment.

Is true....sorry. Used to install, both systems, in the day, before I graduated college.
Even have a meter still....even had techs out from Direct.

Direct has the better channels but a lousy signal compared to Dish. Not even close.

I've got direct tv right now and it goes out every time it rains pretty much, which is when you are stuck in the house and want to watch tv. Sometimes it is F'ng up when it just really cloudy and grey outside.

Nay. DirecTV here and I had service through Hurricane Ike.

same

Me 3. Power went out before my satellite did

Eta: cloud thickness and or rain and cloud thickness disrupt service. A regular rain shower doesnt mess it up but a thunder cloud might. Also depends on what channel you are watching. If it goes out on hd, switch to standard def
