Personally, I think the picture puts quite a different spin on the perspective of things we were shown by major news outlets.

What's changed is that the "civil rights heroes" went from being people who wanted to go to school, people who wanted to sit wherever on the bus, people who wanted to be allowed to eat in restaurants - to whacked-out drug dealers, strongarm robbers who fight the police, teen thugs and loose cigarette street corner salesmen.
There's the difference, TIME. See the problem now?

I feel bad for black people who lived through true racism in the 50's and 60's who have to watch these idiots of today riot over manufactured racism.

Why is he covering his face and running, if he isn't doing anything wrong?

Time's circulation is steadily declining. They live for this type of event.

Well, it should. It's from a different part of town and not from Monday night.
FWIW, that's Camden Yards in the background, just outside Oriole Park (the famed warehouse). Monday riots were about three miles northwest.

Ratings > truth
People see the absurd media and think it must be all about ratings because apparently everyone else is stupid.
Maybe it's not all about ratings. Maybe they have an agenda.

Back then the cops dealt with them the right way, with violence and billy clubs, but today the police just sit there with shields and let the thugs throw rocks at them and do anything they want to.

I'd be pissed off if I was a black person who went through some of those events in 1968. To be compared to the crap going on now is disingenuous.

Why's he trying to pull his pants up while he's running?

Goebbels would blush at that.
