What was the cooking recipe for ???

My guess is that there is always some arsehole in the Facebook comments who decides to copy and paste a recipe just for shites and giggles. So, he tried to emulate that maybe?

I got out of journalism. That was a good decision.

I got out of Business for journalism and love my decision. I don't make bad money at all for 25, but I'm also already an editor at my publication. Covering sports for a living is literally the best thing ever.

Changed from General Business to Forestry, and haven't regretted it for a second. Business was boring, and people can pick up 90% of that degree while working if they have a relatively functional brain. I got a business minor, and took a few extra econ and finance classes on my own. My career choice was awesome, but I just wasn't getting paid enough to continue. I could've gone to the finance side of forestry, but decided to now go ME instead. I think both have the same potential to make money, and the same potential to be unstable.

My only problem with going with the finance side of forestry was that I'd have to move to Minden if I took the offer. It would be a cold day in hell before I moved from New Orleans to Minden.

Most people have changed majors at least once. However, that does not mean that the end result is always good for the person in question. For others, it turns well for them and they enjoy a profession they otherwise would overlook.

I am just asking if anyone has any thoughts on this.

Are you going through a quarter-life crisis? You're posting a new "What am I doing with my life?" thread just about every day.

To answer your OP - I did not change my major, but I wish I had. I had a hard time picking one and in rebellion to the pressure from my parents, I eschewed choosing something math based.

I ended up in English Language Arts to become a high school teacher, and I knew within days of my student teaching experience that it wasn't something I wanted to do. I could have gotten a little more money out of my parents and taken out loans, but instead, I told myself that at 22 years old, I was too old to switch.

Here I am a decade later trying to finagle my life so that I can have a career that is satisfying (more so just not life draining and depressing) and lucrative.

Changed from Mechanical engineering to Construction Management. I hated ME. I love what I do now. Best decision I ever made.

I changed from chemical engineering to accounting and have no regrets on that but I do want to go back and get a civil degree now. Been trying to find a distance undergrad degree and there are only a couple that I have found so far

Yes, and YES. Not to mention the fact that most people take about 6 months to study up on this stuff...we got a 5 day block of instruction.

ETA: you need a 750/900 to pass. I scored a 753

Sad thing is I never plan on using that cert. Just a resume booster now.

How important are those certifications when looking for an IT job (A+, Net, Sec, etc)?
