Lady Gaga didn't use prerecorded lyrics. The NFL prefers it, and most of the instruments are prerecorded but not all singing performances are.
Prince was clearly singing live. Purple Rain in the rain was epic and I'm not even a huge Prince fan.

Lip syncing is absolutely a choice, but unless you were at the game, you heard a pre-recorded track. You're right though, she didn't lip sync her live performance.

I'd have liked it if she actually sung instead of lip synched the entire time. She typically dances alot more as well.
However, she was pregnant, so she couldn't dance, and probably couldn't sing much as well.
I'm just mad Jayz was literally in the building, but he couldn't be bothered to come on stage and perform their songs together.

I actually watched that performance again last night after the halftime show.
He had a college band performing with him. I think it was a college band. I didn't go back and look it up, but it was great!

I enjoyed it as I like a lot of her songs.
I rank it as average sort of with The Weekends. Can’t hit a home run every year.
