Did anyone not have an "A" set and "B" set of grandparents?

I definitely had one set of grandparents I liked and saw more than the others.

Most of my friends did as well.

Does anyone not have a clear better set of grandparents?

And, yes, I fricked all of your grandmothers.

One granddad was dead before I was born. The other was an alcoholic who lived with his mom.

I didn't have your typical grandparent experience.

See my mom's parents 3-4 times a week. See my dad's parents once a year or so. (They live out of town though)

My Dad's parents were divorced and lived an hour away. Plus my granddad was an alcoholic and notoriously distant by everyone he knew. My Mom's parents lived 3 doors down though and my Graddad took me fishing every afternoon once he got off from work. Clear A Set.

both sets of my grandparents were awesome.

on my mom's side, I was the only grandchild until my little brother was born when I was 15.

on my dad's side, I was the clear favorite grandchild since I was the only one w/ divorced parents.

Both sets had huge parts in raising me and giving me opportunities I wouldn't have had otherwise. I lived in the same town as both and saw both probably the same amount.

Much closer to my dad's side of the family than my mom's.

Liked, and saw, my mom's side more. Grandma on my dad's side died when I was 4-5 while my Grandpa on my dad's side was a POS that my dad didn't speak to for almost 10 years.

I wouldn't say "A" and "B". They were just different, though all lived in my town. I never knew my maternal grandfather. My maternal grandmother had a big old house out in the country on lots of land with horses, cows, pigs, sheep, chickens and grew cotton etc... Going to her house was more fun because we got to ride horses and feed the animals, pick the eggs for breakfast etc... We could bring friends there to spend the night and had birthday parties and other parties at her house since it was so big and she had a huge covered "gallery" as she called it with a big free standing fireplace out in the yard where she had lots of picnic tables and chairs lights strung up over that area.

I loved staying with my paternal grandparents too and did pretty often, but it was more low key I used to walk to their house after school and my Dad would pick me up after work, so I was close to all of them in different ways.

Both of my grandfathers were bad asses who taught me a while bunch of shite that made me what I am today, fishing, hunting, cooking, fixing/building stuff. They were very involved with our lives and were fun to be around.

I miss them all the time but take solace in the skills they taught me.

Grandmas were pretty kick arse too.

A grandparents are incredible people that would give others the shirts off their backs

B grandparents are wealthy, former alcoholic smokers that give us a shitload of money at Christmas

I like A

Moms parents were clear A for me, I stayed with them way more and they also took us on trips and did way more so I liked them more.

Dads parents were mainly seen at holidays, they gave worse gifts and never took vacations. I did like grandad more than granny though

I never had a set of grandparents. Both my parents had one of their parents pass away at a young age. My mom was raised by her dad and my dad by his mom.

I would favor my grandpa more if I had to choose.
