I was just finishing college and had started building houses in the new part of river bend at the time and would cut through Tiger land going over there. I will never forget that afternoon cutting through there and the number of cops everywhere where was something I had never seen. They were in every surrounding neighborhood driving all over, helicopters in the air etc. I knew something major had happened, but would be a few hours until I found out what happened. Turned out I knew Murray, she was in grad school with some friends and used to all go drink at ivars etc. She wasn’t a small girl and I heard the scene was pretty horrific from the fight she put up. Something in BR I don’t think I will every forget

It’s the ultimate alibi—cop pulls over a black retarded guy in SBR, let’s him go without DNA testing because they were looking for the prototypical white make serial killer. It would be like Corky not getting questioned about a drug deal gone bad type of shooting in NBR, even if Corey’s guilty.

This is correct… I remember that more than one person told me that a sports radio caller during that time frame called Mr. LSU was considered a suspect… I met this dude one time and he was one creepy frick.

Lee was often ridiculed by his classmates. In addition to teasing him for being developmentally challenged, the other children would taunt him for sucking his thumb and calling his teacher "momma."

According to Radford University, Lee began exhibiting behavioral issues as a child and a pre-teen. In addition to physically harming his pet dog and her puppies, Lee began peeping into his neighbors' windows at a very young age. He also developed a habit of denying his bad behavior and refusing to accept responsibility for his actions.
Lee was arrested for the first time at the age of 13. According to "Blood Bath," the teen burglarized a local candy store called "Sweet Shop." Although he pleaded guilty, he avoided detention and was instead sentenced to probation. Later that same year, Radford University reports he physically attacked a neighbor when she confronted him about peeping in her windows.

Autism spectrum honestly makes sense looking back on it.

I grew up in that neighborhood and while I never knew her or her son I definitely hated being outside at night after that. I was young but old enough to realize what happened.

Stayed in Baton Rouge that summer and actually drove through there that day on lunch break while this was happening. Lived that summer in the neighborhood behind sharlo and my roommates convinced us all to go join the crowd watching the swarm of cops and everything that evening when they announced what was going on. Rumor mill was wild and the whole neighborhood watched the scene unfold that evening. Scary times in Baton Rouge for all the girls around at all times. Remember all the white truck profiles very well.

My son was friends with Pam Kinnamores boy. They were in cub scouts together. I remember when we got the news, we were all shocked and saddened for the family.
I initially thought that my son didn’t really realize what was happening. However, the next summer, my son was very reluctant to go to scout camp. The lasy had been killed while the boys were at camp the previous year and he didn’t want anything to happen to us while he was gone.
Not to rain on this memory but Pam was murdered in July and da Troop 205 scout summer camp was always in June. I remember being at home that weekend when it happened.

Thought I saw a post years back about someone on here that knowingly worked with DTL.

I can confirm that the boat is lying. I was his troop leader.

I’ll never forget the way DTL looked at the women in our group. Pure evil.
I know a nurse that used to work there. She said the same thing... and that solitary had driven him insane.
That gives me comfort to know that his POS arse suffered and Angola got to him.

I dealt with him personally at SMPCC when he was housed there for hearings. He had dead eyes. He actually filed an inmate complaint against me, saying I treated him like an animal.
Job well done.

I forget the name of the other serial killer, but some of you living in University Acres/Woodstone/Woodgate will probably remember that POS living in a house we all rode bikes by as a kid.
Derrick Todd Lee, Sean Vincent Gillis, Jeffery Lee Guillory, and John Allen Muhammad (who was more famous as the D.C. Sniper spree killer but had also done a brief phase as a serial killer before that and killed at least one person in Baton Rouge in the process) all operated in the area at the same time.

I know a lawyer that says DTL was too stupid to be a serial killer.
Doesnt make much sense
Infamous guys like Dahmer, Bundy and Kemper had high IQs, which I think has perpetuated the myth that most serial killers are evil geniuses.
Gary Ridgway was one of the most prolific serial killers in American history, and he had an IQ in the low 80s. For anyone to suggest DTL was too retarded to commit these murders is ridiculous.
