Cops don't eat for free everywhere numb nuts. Some places give discounts some don't.
Similar to military and senior citizens.
Or how some places have kids nights or discounts for kids under 12.

If true, the criminals know which place they can rob without police interference.

SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. – The sheriff of a county about 70 miles north of Seattle says a restaurant owner has asked that law enforcement no longer dine there.
Skagit County Sheriff Will Reichardt said on Facebook that after four deputies finished lunch at Lucky's Teriyaki in Sedro-Woolley Thursday, the owner asked them not to eat there anymore.
Reichardt says the deputies were told that customers didn't like law enforcement there. The sheriff says his chief deputy called the owner later Thursday and says the request was confirmed along with a request to spread the word among other law enforcement agencies.

you think Asians are typically left leaning? this is why this doesn't make sense to me and even if what you think happened is true, that they did tell the cops they didn't want them to eat there, they already corrected it and are offering cops a free meal this is a complete non story
I disagree. I can understand a misunderstanding once, but how did they tell the chief deputy the same thing and it not be taken as a misunderstanding? Who knows what happened , but my guess is they really said that and then it blew up on Facebook and the news and they realized how much business it's going to cost them.
It's their right and I don't have an issue at all. But I don't think people realize that if you don't support the police, FD, etc. then you will not have a lot of people who do not support your business also.

would be understood and agreed that LEO, FD and other city services would be the LAST to be notified if assistance were to ever be needed there, UNLESS the owner's position on serving LEO changed, bet the attitude would change with a quickness...

Exactly. Literally nothing in the article explaining what happened makes sense. None of it. I have little doubt that they realized they screwed up and started making shite up to cover for it.

Who are you talking to?
The people that say Asians are general right wing id agree with older Asians, but plenty of those under 40 are very liberal. Plenty of teenagers and 20s also.

Not really. It takes two to tango, and no one is forcing people to purchase meals at that business. The free market will take care of itself.
I plan on owning a business someday, and if you think I'm selling to a guy with his head buzzed and Nazi symbols tatted on his arm, you're insane. I'd go out of business first.

Heard about this on the national news this morning and apparently the owners have changed their position. If I heard correctly, I think they're even offering to have the cops eat there for free.

and the cops should just avoid the place now.

There's absolutely no information you have that would make that a well-informed bet.

I'd put money on the restaurant being a buffet and the cops coming in and using it as their own personal saloon while on the clock.
I guess there is info that makes this a "well-informed" bet then, right?

quote:I highly doubt that, they're calling 911 if I had to guess if shite goes down in their restaurant...like all of those folks who complain about cops until something happens and they look to those same cops to protect them.
One would assume if the restaurant did this, then they would in fact provide their own security
