Deputies asked not to dine at Washington Restaurant

SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. – The sheriff of a county about 70 miles north of Seattle says a restaurant owner has asked that law enforcement no longer dine there.
Skagit County Sheriff Will Reichardt said on Facebook that after four deputies finished lunch at Lucky's Teriyaki in Sedro-Woolley Thursday, the owner asked them not to eat there anymore.
Reichardt says the deputies were told that customers didn't like law enforcement there. The sheriff says his chief deputy called the owner later Thursday and says the request was confirmed along with a request to spread the word among other law enforcement agencies.

I hope that place gets robbed.

Makes sense. Perhaps the owner can offer up the names of those individuals that frequent his restaurant and don't want police presence there?
Because I am sure they won't need police presence in their neighborhoods either, right? Or when there is a disturbance at their own homes too, right?

Everyone else is praying that place gets robbed this week right?

One would assume if the restaurant did this, then they would in fact provide their own security, which would make the establishment even safer than the false security of cops being minutes away. Plus what do you expect a business to do if the customers are unsafe with cops around. I think with the way cops are portrayed on TV, it is a legit concern. However, I think the real problem is when cops defend their POS officers who blatantly commit crimes to the citizens in their abuse of power. Fix this and then you won't have to worry about being shunned from Dunkin Donuts.

But private business be damned if they don't bake a wedding cake for a queer

Damn! If I were a cop there, I'd cherish the day a 911 call came in from that place. I'd go park my car down the street and just watch.
frick Lucky!

When something bad happens, I wonder who he's gunna call.......

That's fine if that's what they want. I doubt law enforcement would want to eat in an establishment that caters to idiots.
And don't call use when you get robbed.

Outside of very specific business types, people should be able to choose who they do business with and why. Just because I disagree with that entire issue (though I am very pro gay rights) doesn't mean I'm going to now point at the other side and go OH SNAP HYPOCRITE. My values don't change with what the other side does.

I hope the deputies are not gay or black!

How is this not the same type of discrimination the cake shop owners were accused of a year or so ago?
Court ruled it illegal discrimination
I think the cops should do one of two things:
1. ALL the cops start eating lunch there more often or
2. File the lawsuit
eta:
I agree with this 100%. But a precedent has been set.

The Sedro-Woolley Police Department said on Facebook it's disappointed but they'll continue to respond to the businesses in any way they request.

Isn't this the argument people make for why they need guns....because you cant rely on police. If we need to call police to handle everything, then we don't need guns right?
