2 Years ago, a similar such instance (a loud audible boom with a debris field seen on radar) was attributed to an explosion at Camp Minden.
In response to this... The explosion in Minden was a big deal. However the Minden explosion was nothing like what we experienced Monday.
Its like everyone experienced the same building shaking and loudness of volume regardless of where you were in the Caddo Bossier area.
I know in my office the windows and doors rattled for almost 5 seconds and we are located near the GE plant.
When the Camp Minden explosion occured, I did not even know about it until I got home that evening and heard about it on the news.

So what are the possibilities here?

I was shocked their was no thread about it on this gossip ridden site.
It is guys like you living in NWLA that need to give us those 'grassroots' analysis.

I would say a sonic boom... But I do not recall (from my childhood...) sonic booms being like what we experienced.

What do YOU think it was?
Other than what I mentioned in a previous post which I do not think accounts for what happened
I have no idea...

So what are you saying?
Scattered showers overnight becoming clear by morning. Lows in the mid 40's.

Could have maybe been a meteor but you'd think tons of people would have seen a fireball streaking across the sky. Lot of oil wells in that area too.

I was just taken aback because of the high journalistic standards of this site. It is normally considered the last bastion of timely, accurate, and unbiased reporting of world and local events.
