This is just a "bored at work, let's talk about something" thread.

My cousin is a state trooper in Maryland. He said that was the craziest time of his 20 year career.

I lived in Hampton Roads at the time and when they were caught their laptop gave some scary info for me. The coffee shop I always went to off of I-64 was a spot scouted and planned on as a shotting site down the road

Also was caught in a car search after one of the shootings when coming back from NOVA

They sniped/shot and killed an Asian woman in Baton Rouge just before they went north to DC.

I have A weird story about this guy. My in-laws lived on a sailboat and traveled the eastern and western Caribbean for over ten years. When the two guys were caught and the story of who they were started to break, my farther in law told us of meeting him on a bus down in the Caribbean One day. In-laws were riding a bus to pick up supplies for the boat. Father in-law was talking to my mother in-law and a man sitting near them told my father in-law he had to be from NOLA area because of his accent. He introduced his self (I don't remember his name) and they talked while on the bus. My Father in-law kept a daily diary of what they did every day while traveling and noted this chance meeting with this guy.

Hell, I remember the sniper down in New Orleans back in the early 1970's that was held up in a hotel. That crazy SOB was going around and lighting fires in different rooms. They had cop snipers shooting a hole in a stairway once they had him trapped.

Google Mark Essex.

I was a teen. Bunch of us rode our bikes to go watch this from the Trailway bus station at the time. Mon and Dad was pissed when they found out that we did that.

Climbing up the bridge at Spanish Fort on Bayou St John at the lake front and diving off it knowing that there is a shite load of pilings under water.

Or riding bikes down the high rise on I10 before it opened.

Muhammed and Malvo were also involved in a shooting in Montgomery, AL. I remember being in Montgomery the night before an LSU Auburn football game in October 2002, just a couple of weeks after the Montgomery shootings.

We were supposed to meet up with an LSU fan group and the meeting place (a bar?) was right near the liquor store where the shooting took place.

They were still on the run (I think) and everyone was feeling a little creepy about being so close to the crime scene.

They linked a bunch of incidents leading up to the finale. Crazy stuff. Goes to show how long you can get away with stuff when your victims are random
