I did... And came back to run the non-profit that I was there to help. We have staff on the ground there and administrative staff here. I go back frequently.

Have been multiple times to Tanzania, Kenya & Uganda. My favorite is Tanzania, and it seems the stablest of the three at this point. I've made friends with some lovely people there.
I'm always a little sad when I return home for what we've lost here that I see in abundance there: Politeness, respect, family, community.
I mean, it's still a hot mess there, but there is much to love.
