I could live in a small beach bungalow in Hawaii or condo/apartment in the middle of a city like NYC, Nola or San Fran as long as I was by plenty of restaurants and bars and had good A/C/heat, running water and internet.

No. I am already miserable in my apartment.
Hell, Jones' house has 3 bedrooms and I still have the urge to get rid of half the crap in it.

If you don't mind my asking, what did you design your floor plans in?
Also I know you said you were concerned about moisture from having an attached green house, what if you put a hall/walk way in between the kitchen and greenhouse. You could put two sets of doors in that way plus have 5-8 feet of separation that might alleviate moisture concerns while still having an attached green house.

I had some cool plans drawn up to do something like this on my empty lot where my house used to be pre-Katrina. It would've been elevated and multistory, and I could've done most of the work for cheap, minus the crane work needed to lift them in place. I also had the building codes figured out, but the city code people and planning commission would've fought me the whole way. The end result would've been about 1300 sq. feet.

I don't remember what it was called, but it was one of the main free apps on my iPad. You can even toy with the wall thickness.

There's no way I could do it. You should see the way I maneuver myself in my apartment bathroom as is.
The smaller the space, the more of a neat freak you have to be.. which is okay to some extent, but when my house looks gross because I left 1-2 things out before bed, it is a problem.

You need a vanity table. Life changing thing girl.
You can just sit and do your hair and makeup comfortably and not leaning over a mirror in a tiny bathroom trying to balance your hair dryer and flat iron on your tiny bathroom counter. Mine has a drawer like a desk that I have all my makeup and jewelry in as well. It was the one thing I insisted on having space for when we moved

I have a friend who's about to be on that Tiny House Builders show on HGTV. I couldn't live in one of those things, but her and her boyfriend are pretty excited to. They're perfectly capable of affording a decent house in the area too and have great jobs, so it's not a money thing for them, it's a lifestyle thing. She doesn't feel like she needs all of the room of a regular house and wants to live a minimalist life.
