Goodman and Amana are both owned by the same Company, the Daikin Group.

Goodman used to have 2 huge facilities in Houston at 290 and Beltway but I am almost sure the signs changed on those 2 buildings to Daikin last time I was there.

Spinoff, but what would be causing my breaker to trip with a new 4 ton unit installed last week? Breaker is 30 amp and trips daily after the unit runs for 6-8 hours. Previously had a 3.5 ton unit with no issues. Is the 30amp breaker to small?
go back and tighten down all of the lugs on the various connections on the ac unit. could be a loose connection.

Replaced our 2 ton unit with a Trane 3 ton unit and had duct work done last summer for $7200.
Previous utility bills averaged around 375-400 per month but with new unit it dropped almost $100 on avg per mo.

If you order HVAC equipment online, they might tell you it has a ten year warranty but the local supply houses will not give you the warranty parts. You will have to give the model and serial numbers and the local guys can tell where it was bought. Local supply houses (as well as manufacturers) aren't in the business to give away free parts to bootleggers

I would check the warranty with only changing outside. Some only warranty if both are changed and compatible.
I have a Trane but American Standard is basically the same as both are made by same company.

Went with a 5 ton Trane. Ran me 6500 both units.

Hallpass knows his stuff. Good luck getting a warranty part from your online vendor as it will be a major PITA.
