They were ambushed by Texas Rangers (in Louisiana, no doubt) with BARs and Thompson submachine guns, so I would say that's actually probably worse.

- the innocent man they gunned down who was also in the car that they knew nothing about
- the crossfire that injured other officers
- the wildly unnecessary amount of shots fired
- the fact that they almost hit children


It's ridiculous and I can't believe there's even one person anywhere who can find a way to justify it

That justifies their use of lethal force but that doesn't excuse them for lighting up the vicinity with rounds.
