Why was the officer there? I have no idea. However I believe he was following protocol. I think he wanted to speak to the guy and the guy refused. Once the officer went to put his hands out to direct him to a diffrent area the guy slapped his hands down and put his hands in the officers face. That officer didn't over react in anyway. He directed the guy to another area, once the other officers tried to place him into custody he fought. That's why the night stick was used on the back of his legs to get him to comply since he was not complying to verbal commands.

Yea, I'm pretty sure I understand that better than most.

We didn't do that shite to Iraqis we arrested, and I sure as hell wouldn't expect motherfricking American cops to do it to our own citizens.

Seriously?
In the video it looks like the officer just hit the guy with a baton after he slapped his hands away? Give me a break. Watch the video. He was never struck until the other officers tried to place him into custody and he refused. Plain and simple.

It may not be a fight, but it is definantly an aggressive action towards the officer.

Pushing a cops hands down 12" in aggressive?

If that's aggressive, what do you call the club to the leg of a complying individual?

Also, its really hard to put your hands behind your back when you've got one guy on your neck, and two other guys pulling your arms.

He was complying? Had he been complying it would not have taken so many officers to take him down.

That is what the poster wrote. Do you believe everything written on the Internet? Start using Wikipedia as a source and see how far that carries you

Based on Spooky's posts, it seems he genuinely believes that a cop has the right to assault law-abiding citizens simply because they refuse to have hands laid on them.

Wasn't complying as in walking in the slightly wrong spot, which gives the cops the right to beat the shite out of him and take him into custody?

Not a constitutional scholar, are you?

These videos always start after the most important series of events occur. If the guy didn't do ANYTHING as the cameraman keeps repeating, then what made him take out his phone and start videoing?

According to the link a tazer is a lethal weapon. You only see one side of the story and you make up your mind.

The cop tries to grab him and he slaps the cops hand away. The cop then proceeds to shove him in the back with his baton, other cops jump in and start corralling the guy like a hog. He merely tries to maintain his footing and avoid being tackled, then the officer breaks a baton over his calf. He never once did anything that could remotely be called fighting back.

we beat this to death every few weeks, this one's similar to an incident at Coor's field, iirc, this past summer, you fricking cops watch too much TV and have diffusing/negotiating and common sense skills of a stink bug, certainly don't belong on stadium duty, if in the "profession" at all

My buddy was pushed into a wall entering a sporting event because he went past the wrong barricade. His hands were pinned against the wall in front of his body and when he had to push off the wall to get them behind his back as he was complying the whole time. The officer yelled "STOP RESISTING"

Do you have any reason to believe he wasn't? Does ANYTHING prior to the cop trying to grab him suggest he was breaking the law besides the actions of the cop?

Your entire argument is based on the assumption that a cop would only act they did if someone was breaking the law. It's an assumption that I cannot imagine making in light of modern police actions across the nation.
