A motorist is outraged after he was handed a $128 ticket for leaving his car to warm up on his own driveway.

This is in Michigan. I would go to jail before I would pay this, just to make a point. And cops wonder why they don't have support from the community. Stop writing tickets to people who just are trying to do the right thing, just so you can collect more revenue for the government, and spend more time stopping real criminals who are out to harm people.

Was the driver brown or black? Cop white? This will be the deciding factor on if I am outraged or not.

Isn't this like getting ticketed for driving drunk on your own property?

Then why do they make cars that can be started with the press of a button, specifically for this purpose?

I can't help but lol

And I wouldn't pay either.

I've heard of those in Florida, but only if it's unlocked in a public place and the fine is like $20. That's to try and curb car thefts.

This seems odd though.

Cops cant seem to be able to help themselves shed the variuos labels they have been assigned.

If I was the DA, I would dismiss.

It's outdated. I do this all time. And I leave my car unlocked. Most cars have push-button start. If it can't detect the key fob it will not move.

Sounds like that cop was trespassing on private property with no valid reason.
