but from the video the kid was just sitting there, not harming anyone.
He made threats to the bus driver.
The cops talked to him for 15 minutes without a single response from him.
There were other kids on the bus waiting to be dropped off and couldn't b/c little dipshit didn't want to get off the bus.
They weren't calling for psychiatric help for this. They were removing him from the bus to take him to the psychiatric help, since he was obviously having some trouble at the time.
You think at mental hospitals they never get physical with patients? accidents happen.
My paw paw is 87 years old and somehow still strong. He's got dementia pretty bad and is in a nursing home that caters to dementia patients. Sometimes they or we have to be physical with him when he isn't cooperating. There comes a point where you can't wait around anymore.

Bad move on the part of the cop, no ones arm can bend like that without breaking.

Actually, this is EXACTLY one of the types of situations that a Taser was designed for. This "kid", "subject", etc. is exhibiting Passive Resistance. This means he isn't actively resisting (pulling away, running off) but that he is refusing to cooperate with a lawful order. In this case, the kid made threats and the bus driver called police. The police lawfully decided to remove him from the bus (to detain, investigate, arrest) and he refuses to cooperate. This is the point at which physical contact is likely to cause injury to either the officer or the subject. In these cases, application of the Taser to achieve Pain Compliance is lawful. BUT if they had Taser'ed this kid (who would have screamed, flopped around and then complied without being injured) you guys would be screaming bloody murder. So what do we get? They lay hands on him and he gets hurt.
There are plenty of instances posted on this Board where the police are way wrong. This isn't one of them. They were screwed from the second they got on scene. Any "actions" you take against a handicapped person/child/minority/female/etc are guaranteed to rile up some folks.
BTW, you guys saying "they should have waited him out indefinitely/called for a special counselor to arrive" would be the same ones hating on the police for blocking the road/using your tax dollars/not responding to other calls while this dragged out. Like I said, this was a no-win no matter how you play it out.

Ask the idiot to leave for 2 minutes straight, very nicely at that. Maybe this kid has learned a life lesson here.

Ain't gonna lie. The cops were cool as frick about it, it's not like they ko'd the mtfer and broke it on purpose. I didn't see excessive force, it was more of a bad break because as the cop is trying to put it behind his back, he's squirming and resisting.
I was expecting way, way worse when i opened the link. That wasn't shite.

15 minutes, not 2. You only saw 2.

I miss the good ole days before video cameras and when it was acceptable for an adult pull off their belt and whip that arse. He would of exited that bus with quickness if my pop was swinging the strap.

I'll bet that he gets off the fricking bus the next time a cop tells him to.

Exactly, seems like solid police work to me. Tired of cops getting bad raps for a small video that hits YouTube.
Do I think cops are perfect? No.
Do I think there isn't misconduct? No.
I do think that a lot of the junk that hits YouTube is full of a 30 second video not telling the entire story of what went on giving them a bad reputation.

with two guys and no imminent danger it was a full retard move to break his arm
his family is going to get paid

It sounds like 5th amendment.

Sounds like a part of the problem.
Whatever. Dick cop gets to brake a kids arm and nobody wants to call him on it. Random individual does it and everyone loses their mind.

This. Were they trying to cuff him, or just bending his arm back to manhandle him? The first time they bend his arm back, it just looks a little excessive. Then when they crank his arm up andit snaps...holy frick. Way overboard. The kid looks like he has Downs. It's not like he was in the midst of criminal activity - his "resisting" amounted to sitting on a bus. If I were his parent (assuming he does have some mental disability), I'd settle for half a million - if I got to twist the cop's arm til it snaps.
Holy shite some of you are fricking pussies. So much made up bullshite in this. Good for the kid. Should have fricking listened to the cops. They gave him quite a while before they pulled him off of the bus.

I watched the video, but I blame the kid. The cop did not at all try to break his arm. That's the standard arm grab they do to immobilize you before cuffs.
The kid just had to get off the bus, and all would have been fine.
