they tried to ask nicely for 15 minutes.
If the kid is handicapped, then ride the handicapped bus.
Looked like a kid being a little shite, that had his little shite act backfire.

Cop was cool with him, that kid was looking for trouble. Only thing the cops might could have done different is shoot the fricker in the knee and then help his arse limp off that bus.

Cop should have just shot him in the leg.

Kid is just a troublemaker.

The cops seemed pretty cool about the whole ordeal. I doubt they meant to break the kids arm, that's if the arm is even broke.

What in the frick? Why was he trying to bend the arm up after he already had it bent behind the kids back? Does that cop not know how arms bend?

Cop could of stripped off the kid's clothes and whipped him to death. You people would still be saying "well he should of listen to authority"

The kid was on a short bus.

So what's your solution? This crazy kid (who looks 6ft+ and at lest 240lbs) was brooding and stewing and looking for a confrontation. That's why the bus driver called the cops to begin with:
quote:

Police were called after the driver said he felt he could not safely transport Gocheski to school at Parsons Child and Family Center, "based on threats that the student made in an aggressive manner," police said in the release.

What should they do? Park the bus for the day until the kid gets out of his psychological break?

Also, his mother was right outside the bus, and she couldn't (wouldn't/didn't) do anything:
quote:

"I haven't seen him quite this defiant in quite a long time," a woman believed to be the mother was heard to say from outside the bus, captured by the bus video camera.

Again, those of you bashing the police: what would you have done to defuse this situation?

He doesn't look nearly this big.

Having a professional who works with the mentally handicapped and knows how they respond makes a lot more sense than a cop who probably has no training with these types trying to talk logically to the kid. There's a good chance the kid isn't going to understand consequences.

They would probably say should have instead of should of though.

Calling the cops is fine. I get that. The cops should have gotten there, realized what they were dealing with, and called in psychiatric support. The cops can still be there to react if this kid decides to go ballistic before or while a counselor is there, but from the video the kid was just sitting there, not harming anyone.

Cops played it pretty cool. I didn't see any brutality.

Short Bus, right?

When he threatened the bus driver, that wasn't happening.

The cops did everything they could do, I'm sure they did more that wasn't even on that video.

The gf's sister has bipolar disorder like this kid. I can assure you that at that age they are a threat to others when they get into their little "moods".

I'm saying this kid isn't innocent, he made threats and he was perfectly capable of backing them up with his huge size, and probably has done so before

He was asked to get off the bus. I don't see the problem. If we would let the cops kick some punk arse and shoot fleeing felons, criminals would listen to them.
