I'll do you one better-

Can someone who supports flying any of the confederate flags tell me if they would have a problem with a Nazi descendant flying the Nazi battle flag?

The south lost, the north won. The confederate flag is out. The Us flag won.

The confederate flag is a cool
Flag, but, it's the flag of a loser. May as well fly a French flag, they are good at losing also.

I think it's funny that the people that bitch about being able to fly the confederate flag are the same ones that bitch about Mexicans flying their flag.

First, if someone wants to fly the Nazi flag no I don't have a problem with that. I would think they were a POS but they should be able to do it if they so choose.

Second, as appalling as slavery is, it was a common practice in those days across the world. Those people were simply a product of their misguided environment fighting to maintain their livelihood. Abraham Lincoln himself was a firm believer that blacks were an inferior species and originally had no intention of abolishing slavery in the South.

Not quite the same as the banner supporting the genocide of an entire group of people and war mongering in attempts to conquer the world resulting in the deaths of millions.

But you already knew that.

Not only that. People, retarded people, love to compare the Confederacy to Nazi Germany. Why don't they compare genocide to genocide? Native Americans were slightly inconvenienced if I remember correctly. What flag was flying then?

All true, but this doesn't "excuse" the confederate flags. The Civl War was fought primarily over slavery. For some reason people have tried to romanticize it, but let's call a spade a spade. Even if you (you in general, not you specifically) don't think the confederate flags represent slavery initially, they grew over time to represent exactly that.

No, not the same, but the reasons I've heard for flying the confederate flags can be used equally for the Nazi flags. Pride, family, etc.

Agreed. I think the same of the confederate flag.

Because flying the rebel flag is the equivalent of flying the Nazi flag in Germany.

Both represent racism and both got that arse whooped.

So the confederate flag is A-OK because slavery isn't as bad as genocide?

My post was clear - what reason would you have that is pro-confederate symbols that cannot also be used as a reason to fly the Nazi battle flag?

I get all that and I didn't mean for this thread to turn into another Confederate Flag debate because those points have been hashed over a million times.

My question remains, as stated in the OP, is how does the uber PC segment of our society not recognize the hypocrisy of waging battle over the Confed Flag when the US Flag flies proudly)?

A Bama flag represents racism way more than those two combined.

What he was saying is the atrocities committed in Nazi Germany are much more closely aligned with things that have taken place under the US flag than with the Confederate flag.

I'm not saying slavery is the bee's knees or anything, but people just love to jump to the Nazi comparison because it's easy. It's such a lazy argument and God forbid you try to counter it.

Forcing someone to work in a field is just as bad as shoving them in an oven and burning them to a crisp?
