When the SHTF and police state begins, pull up railroad lines, cut into sections, weld together...

Something like that may be useful in search and rescue type situations. I know nothing about Jefferson County, Co though

It would be, then again it's armored and has two shielded turrets.

I like how it has "dial 911" on the side. What else could you possibly hope for if the tank is already on scene?

very good point.

There was a situation like this is Jefferson parish several years ago when a mental fellow was shooting at the police out of his second story window with a high powered rifle. I imagine you would have the stones to just stroll up to the house and tell him to stop

Maybe not. But I would expect to have the balls. Alas, most cops are pussies.

How many times have you been shot at? I promise you the pucker factor is high for everyone. I worked with some great soldiers in my younger days and we all puckered up when under fire. I guess we were all pussies back then as well.

well...

I am not so sure about that.

However, the more of this equipment that is not held on a fully equipped and secured base under the control of our rapidly tyrannical government the better. Essentially meaning that access to them has been distributed across the country making them easier to acquire in a SHTF situation.

Likely some Federal Grant for policing the war on drugs.

Why were the police in the sight line of a crazy guy with a high powered rifle?

I never figured out the butt hurt over having an armored vehicle. Someone explain how they are going to "misuse" the thing.

Are they going to drive around menacingly and avoid being shot? The horror! I think we should take away the ballistic vests the police wear too. Why? Because that technology came from the military as well.

You want something to get upset about? The Sheriff in Bossier Parish bought a belt-fed .50 cal machine gun. THAT is something that people should question. Not an armored vehicle.

They were there to take him to a mental ward. They could not just leave, as I am sure some here will suggest, as he had the entire neighborhood pinned down.
