My question is this, Why does SK need to prove his blackness to someone like Clay Travis.
he doesn't
but
there is a VERY real possibility that he's 100% white and has literally lied about his race to get ahead
that's fricked up

It's patently absurd that the left wants to cry racism in this scenario, when their go to is, "you have the right to free speech, but others have to right to not do business with you due to that free speech."
Worst case scenario, that's what this situation is. Kaepernick has the right to free speech, but the NFL owners have to right to not do business with him, due to the implications of his "free speech".

I'm simply stating that people who are saying he isn't talented enough to be in league are wrong and that's simply not the case. And people are out there saying it.

That's a racist tweet. Hinging $50,000 on someone's race is exactly racism. How do you not get this?

Yeah. Savage is young and hasn't played much, but played well when he did. He's only got room to improve. Kaepernick's been in the league 7-8 years. He's reached his peak...and its not very high.
Bortles is a little different. He hasn't lived up to expectations but isn't a total bust. Tough for Jags to give up early on someone they drafted so highly.

If the guy that constantly rails on everything in society as being "cultural theft and appropriation", berates white people for their privilege, and tells everyone that he's black turns out to be a lily white dude, it could be a career killer.
Seriously. If this isn't "cultural appropriation", then no known example exists (if it turns out he's white).

if Shaun King is white, how can Clay Travis be racist towards him?
a. SK is white
b. they're of the same race
both remove "racism" from the equation

You think he'd get signed if he was willing to play for the league minimum?
Or would the distraction still not be worth it?

I think it's funny what NFL owners choose to care about. Let the guys who beat the shite out of their SO's or get DUIs switch teams. But this dude takes a seat/kneels during the pledge. Oh no!

Never said he wasn't talented enough to be in the league. I said he wasn't talented enough to be a starter. There's a lot of other NFL backup caliber QBs on the market that won't bring negative PR.

I don't know too much about SK's background. I've seen some of tweets on issues and they are over the top at times (Similar to hat Deray guy who wears Patagonia all the time). With that being said, what if it comes back that he's 20% black or whatever? Will the internet lose its mind?

1) The tweet is racist regardless of the race of Travis or King. Pledging to donate money if a person is black enough but no money if he isn't black enough is racist.
2) I never claimed that it is racist against King because that's irrelevant. King stands to gain/lose nothing by this proposition.

I don't think we'll ever know because SK isn't dumb enough to take that challenge. He can't even call up his alleged "father" to ask him what percentage black he is (how convenient).

his family is white
his mother and (legal) father are white
he claims he's black b/c his mom cheated on his dad with a black guy, so i'm not sure what threshold would satisfy everyone, but anything over 12.5% (would make his father 50/50) would certainly back up this story about his mother's affair
