After my experiences there the last 2 days, I am very much on the fence, with a slight lean toward absorbing the arse-kicking.

The place is always crowded, hectic, chaotic, and un-nerving. I have run into a couple of workers there in the past who gave me bad info. Some of the workers try too damned hard to be nice and perky.

I went in last night around 8:00. My iPhone needed a simple repair, but I was told that they couldn't get it done by closing time (9:00) and that I needed to either make an appointment for NEXT WEDNESDAY or come back today (Saturday) when they do "first come-first served" service.

I showed up midday today...stood in line for 30 minutes and then was told it would be 2 hours for the repair. That sucked. Then when I came back after killing 2 hours in the mall, the phone wasn't ready yet and I had to stand around for another 15 minutes. Screaming kids and people were everywhere.

My question is this....why is the next nearest Apple store in Metairie? Can't BR support another such store?

TL, DR Apple store sucks. I'd rather have my arse kicked.

I'd rather have my arse kicked than admit I traded in my man card and went to the Apple store.

Well please provide me with a better alternative. I am by no means an electronic wizard and would like some ideas on how to better have my iPhone serviced next time.

I've never had an issue there. When buying something, I'm out the door in less than 10 min.

Well, I am not a hippie douche. I own zero Apple products. I have no need to consider such options.

As someone above pointed out, why do you have to go to Apple Store?

Is it because the repair was warrantied?

If you have an iPhone or iPad, and you have to pay for any sort of repair, you always go to the little iPhone repair shop nearest you.

You never go the the Apple Store or your service provider e.g. Verizon.

I'm guessing this was special product warranty?

No, I have better taste.

I also have not been inside a Starbucks since 1997, nor have I been inside a Walmart in nearly 4 years.

I went to the one in uptown Dallas, couldn't find the register to pay so got pissed and left. As I was walking out one of the sales people finally told me I could pay any of them but the hipster shite was too much and I kept walking

You did not end your sentence with punctuation. You also used the reference "pretentious douche," as to label me with my own words. I never said that; I called Apple users "hippie douches." Your punctuation usage and cognitive abilities are lacking, sir.

If your Apple product can be repaired by a authorized service center, Orchard Solutions by Cold Stone in Town Center.

ETA: catch an arse-whipping.
