Well you sound just like a nice guy. Too bad the husband didn't molest you.

Jesus. Read much?

I said it is enough.

As in, in a lot of cases, the child's testimony secured the conviction.

I did not say I agree with this... But....wait... I DO.

A consistent story from a child without constant changes in details means they aren't lying. Given PTSD symptoms, kids typically remember abuse YEARS later.

Coached up pre-schoolers =/= a teenage girl with no evidence that her testimony was coerced.

This reminds me of my favorite scene from the movie Porky's….(except the shower scene, of course)

Can we just call it a tally-wacker?

By your line of reasoning the twenty people executed during the Salem Witch Trials had it coming. That whole thing got started by the accusations of two girls aged 9 and 11.

Because teenage girls never lie.

And just to be clear, I'm not saying this guy is innocent. He very well may be guilty as hell. All I'm saying is just based on an accusation alone, there's not enough there to know one way or the other, especially to the point where he's put in prison for years and branded a sex offender for the rest of his life. Even if he did change his story about being there that night.

Damn you're fricking stupid. I'm not defending anyone. I've said it's very possible this guy is guilty as shite. But just an accusation by itself is not proof of guilt. If you can't see that then there's no hope for you, you're just a dumbass.

You say that, but you also say you need more info than the suspect lying that he ever stayed at her house to begin with.

Idk about you, but if I'm a coach, and all of a sudden a cop starts asking me if I've ever stayed at a student's house, I'm gonna answer with, "yes, and my whole family was present."

I'm not gonna lie and say I didn't.

Lying off the bat will condemn this guy, and rightfully so.

The whole thing about him changing his story does raise a red flag. But at the same time you've got to remember the night in question was a year and a half ago. He may have initially forgot. Or he may have panicked and lied thinking that by admitting being there it made him look guilty. As stupid as that may sound, there's a chance he may be just that stupid, or he was just scared enough to say something that stupid.

Bottom line is this guy may be guilty. But to convict him he's got to be proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. And just an accusation from a 14 or 15 yr old girl is not enough on its own to prove guilt.

I'm willing to bet there will be more to the story. Sounds fishy to me. Anxious to find out what the relationship between the suspect and the accusers mom and dad. What's their background?

Mom of child in question was teacher in Central that was convicted of sexual misconduct with a student back in 2003. She used to be a registered sex offender and now she is not. I guess 10 years was part of her plea deal.

Word is he and momma maybe were knocking boots plus at time of incident her husband was either in jail or out of jail for abuse to her. Guy accused was asked to stay since she was scared of abusive husband.
