And that's why you can't take nothing more than an allegation and use it alone to convict a man of such a crime. Now I'm not willing to go as far as you have and say categorically that this girl is a liar and made all this up. But I will say it's entirely possible. The bottom line is there is no way to tell yea or nay one way or the other without some sort of evidence to back up her claim. For example, did anyone else in the house witness him going to or from her room? Did anyone notice any bruises on him afterwards that could have been a result of being hit with a baseball bat? There would have to be something other than just her saying he did it in order to totally ruin someone's life.

Agreed , but it just amazes me when they portray a teen as innocent when they steal,cheat,rape,murder,decieve, set up,use drugs,drink alcohol,smoke,frick like rabbits,cut school,lie to everyone and will jus plan frick someone over to save themselves....and the minute one of these frickers decides to say shite or do shite with an adult, other adults put on the "omg what did the adult do"....the fact that she lying is jus my opinion and the fact he went over there and slept is not adding up either...he frickin the mom, any kid I ever knew when I was a kid always and I mean always camped together in the same room concerning sleep overs....why wasnt his daughter(s) with the alledged girl in her room?....the girl fabricated a story because something else she knows or has happened...dude still pos tho

Well, she could be resentful over the sexual relationship between her mom and this guy. Keep in mind this girl's home life was being really screwed up between her mom's issues at school and her father being locked up. That sort of stuff can really screw a kid up. There's a chance she blamed her mom and this guy for how screwed up her life had become and as a way of getting back at him and or maybe her, she leveled false accusations of rape against this guy.
Now I'm not saying for certain that's what's happened here, but it cannot be ruled out as a very real possibility.

Or step dad is pissed that mom was getting hammered by this guy while he was away for beating the mother. Maybe the two were about to get back together but mom still wanted the other "D" and step dad is getting daughter to do this. Who knows.

I don't know the details of that case but this very well could be what made him beat her. There's a lot about this story that we don't know. I'm guessing the prosecutors know more but even there I'm not sure. Guess we'll have to wait and see if this every goes to trial.

This is what I am hearing.
I think it explains why he initially denied being at the home and why he is using the same attorney she did.
It also would explain a motive for the child to make up and come forward with the allegation after 18 months.
