Anybody else think this is all Disney's fault? Ever since they made that damn cartoon, everybody wants a taxidermy lion in their smoking parlor. This lion's blood is on the hands of the mouse.

They were an unusual case because they were co-heads of the pride. It's rare to see, and now they both get killed?

Meh. The "Lions of Darkness" were a triad - they were all killed by poachers within a year or two of each other - after being displaced by a pair of brothers.

So, it is uncommon to have multiple heads of a pride, but not unheard of.

That's not how SJWs operate, what they do is vote to take your money (via taxes) and use it to put someone else's arse on the line.

They never put their own money or asses in jeopardy.

I would support this.

But they do like drum circles. I see a win-win here.

The first one was much more well publicized than those, and these were killed within a week of each other.

I mean, you can't pretend that's not bizarre.

Survival of the fittest. Apparently these lions just weren't cut out for the serengeti life.

It's the zebras I tell you, they are paying hit men to take the lions out.

Male lions with prides don't hunt though.

It's a coincidence, I'll grant that. Particularly if Cecil's hunt turns out to be illegal (and that appears likely, although it is unclear upon whom the hammer of justice will fall) - but, I had not heard of these lions before Cecil was killed.

I heard of the "Lions of Darkness" almost 20 years ago - a hella good NG documentary for those of you inclined to watch such things - narrated by Keith David.

Trevor Lane is nothing more than a mouthpiece for the lion hunting propaganda machine. This is more lies trying to romanticize the murder of innocent lions.

Generally, this is correct - however, there are always exceptions - e.g. a pride that dips down to 2 or 3 adult females? Ole boy will lead out and squat down in a flush area. The girls will flush towards him, particularly bigger, slower prey - with him kind of taking the role of what is more typical for the inexperienced (or conversely, elderly) female hunters, just for lower exertional level support.

Typically he gets stuck cubsitting for those too young to even go watch, although they normally hunt within eyesight of the resting/watering grounds.

Media backfire. I figured this would bring out the loin hunters of the world.

Has Ricky Gervais chimed in on this? His outrage may reach its boiling point.
