I've had my cat for 14 years and she's been to the vet twice, one to get fixed and once to get declawed. That's it. I buy her shots and give them to her myself.

true story: when we bought our house it hadn't been lived in for probably 6 months and it backs up to 100s of acres of woods.
we just let the cat roam and every morning i'd have to freaking flip the lights on before going down the hall because he was clearing the house of mice and i'd have to step over them. there was always one or 2 casualties. he was proud to bring them to our bedroom door.
now i only see a dead mouse maybe once every few months.
cornbread is doing work! (yes our cat's name is cornbread)
