Yep, I only conduct business with pebbles like those fancy fricks in Antarctica that wear tuxedos everyday.

Seriously, it's either legal gender or it's not, legally.

This is ridiculous.

Get with the times. This means more overhead and security risk for ensuring workers carry change to and from tiger stadium.

Honestly who has the means to attend a football game but doesn’t have at least a debit card? With the tap feature on every card now you can finish your transaction in less than 5 seconds.

Once again, Louisiana is championing nothing causes that move them closer to 1950 than 2050.

Everyone went to cashless at events for 2 main reasons:

1. Theft
2. And no one wants to count shite tons of cash after an event.

But the biggest one is Theft. It might surprise people, but when you have hundreds of low paying jobs handling lots of cash, you end up having some workers steal it.

It also can slow everything down while people try to figure out how much change they need to give you, but that is further down the list because sometimes it takes credit cards a while to connect to the system.

Geez. Probably start seeing refillable venue cards that you can load cash too. LSU themed one, southern themed one, etc etc etc. freaking dumb.

Prices will be adjusted upward to account for cash loss due to theft and cash management fees.

Cash costs more. Just how it is.

Will my insurance carrier accept the wheelbarrow full of cash I need to pay my homeowners premium?

Let’s pay it with pennies and a forklift.

We will also break the coin wrappers for maximum coin counting inconvenience.

Any push back against a cashless society is a win. Do you want some institution or maybe the government to just press delete and all your money is gone?

If you really believe this, then you must all your wealth in cash somewhere. No bank account? No 401k? Nah, must have it all under the mattress - you wouldn't risk Sleepy Joe accidentally pressing that delete button, would you?

Is this going to increase sales enough to offset the slower sales processing time? I'd be interested in seeing any data on this and if there are actual benefits.

I won’t speak to the college level, but at the HS level, profit margins go up when you eliminate cash transactions.

I'd also argue that almost any law lessening the governments ability to track an individual can be considered small government.

So pass a law prohibiting law enforcement from tracking or collecting data via those means

Not one dictating how businesses run.

Because if you look at the details, this bill does absolutely NOTHING to prevent what you are saying. The scope of mandating cash is so limited with this bill it really doesn’t limit law enforcement from collecting data. It just touches merchants that directly have contracts with the state.

Actually preventing them however….is within their scope

I work events at the Dome and Tiger Stadium and being cashless really helps keep the lines moving plus it makes shut down so much easier.

This will cost LSU both in shrinkage and having to pay extra for people to handle all this cash.

Stadiums all over the country have gone cashless.

Louisiana once again moving backwards

Look at the fees you paid this year by using your dc or cc at local and even non local establishments.

Places that don’t accept cash don’t add the fee on. To add the fee you have to have a non-fee alternative
