Oh great. I am going on a Carnival cruise next week and it is only 4 days/3nights. I was already dreading this. I've never been on a cruise or had a desire but I got corned into this trip. I guess I will have to drink way more than I planned to make it through. Maybe I will go spend the next few days hanging out at Walmart to get used to the crowd.

They're all independently operated and have a much different clientele than the Carnival line.

Carnival cruise pros:
The food is awesome for what you pay for
It's so easy to sneak alcohol on. Rum runners FTW

That's about it. But I went with 15 friends, and it was the most fun I've ever had. We did an excursion with an open bar. It was incredible.

I've been on one cruise, it was on the Celebrity Silhouette. It was definitely not trashy, dare I say a bit fancy. That said, I'm kinda trashy and still managed to enjoy myself... any excuse to break out the linen pants I suppose.

If anyone is seeking an ultimate cruise experience, follow RedFoxx's suggestions or also try Oceania. Our last 7 cruises (save for one short Carnival cruise this past summer) have been on Oceania. Of course, it is not for the 21 yr old male looking to get totally fricked up and jump anything with a vagina, but overall great cruising experience

If you just want to cut loose and party hard Carnival is for you. Saves a few bucks as well. Have fun
